Rabbi Dov Winston
Senior Rabbi

Rabbi Winston joined Congregation Beth Sholom in the summer of 2022. He received his rabbinic ordination from Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary. He has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Jewish Studies from Yeshiva University and an MSW from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Rabbi Winston and Rebbetzin Rena have three
beautiful children, Leora, Shalva and Shoshi. Since their arrival the Winston’s have infused the Rochester community with a vibrant and youthful passion for learning, spirituality and growth. Rabbi Winston is always available to meet with congregants, reach out to the office or just drop in to see him for a cup of coffee during his office hours!

Shira is a native Rochestarian who went to Beth Sholom as a child and graduated with a degree in psychology from Stern College. She currently works as a teacher in Derech HaTorah. She and her husband, Aryeh, moved back to Rochester about 4 years ago and they have 5 beautiful children ranging in ages 2 to 10 years old.

Originally from Denver, I moved here about 8 months ago for a slower way of living. I have two dogs, Bailey and Charlie, and when I’m not at the shul you can probably find me out hiking, searching for the perfect chai and exploring the city with them! I am so excited to
