Life & Legacy
Life & Legacy
Life and Legacy ™ is a collaborative effort to ensure the future of our Jewish Community. This is achieved through a unique partnership among The Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester, The Harold Grinspoon Foundation and many local Jewish organizations and synagogues, including Congregation Beth Sholom.
Why Participate?
In many ways your life is rooted in Jewish experiences and values connecting you to Congregation Beth Sholom and others in our Jewish community. By leaving a legacy, you ensure that the Jewish traditions and institutions that mean so much to you today will exist for future generations. You are likely already a supporter of Congregation Beth Sholom and other Jewish charitable organizations in Rochester. But have you included Congregation Beth Sholom in your will or estate plan?
How Do I Begin:
- Have a conversation with a Legacy Team Member. Message or call the shul office at 585-473-1625 to set up a time for a conversation.
- Complete a Letter of Intent
- Formalize your commitment by having a conversation with your personal financial advisor or attorney.
Anybody Can Do It!
Anybody can make a legacy gift, regardless of age or financial status, and your gift can be customized to fit your goals and needs.
Leaving a LEGACY is simple, some options include:
- Bequest in a will
- Make a designation from your Life Insurance, IRA, or Retirement Plan
- Gift of cash, securities, other assets
- Create a charitable trust
- Direct a grant from your Donor Advised Fund
We hope you will join us in the Life and Legacy ™ Program!
